Daryl Rogers, Designer
Daryl Rogers was only 16 years old when he realized he wanted to be a fashion designer. He would take suits from Goodwill and recreate them but never imagined that one day he'd be designing suits for celebrities and professional athletes. "When I was growing up, all the men in my family, especially my uncles, stayed suited and booted," he shared. "I would watch them get dressed up with their ties, belts, and everything matching from head to toe, including their socks, sometimes just to go to the corner store." He loved the trend of coordinating an entire look without covering any of the essential components of a suit.
Daryl carried this passion into the creation of his line, Seventh Seal Designs. The name inspired by the book of Revelations, the final book of the New Testament, features short-sleeved suits and shorts suits. He is establishing a trademark aesthetic with an emphasis on coordinating the suit jacket's fabrics with the pants' cuff. The three-piece suit phased out for a more casual look with jacket and trousers when men started to wear wristwatches, and the pockets no longer served the purpose of housing their watches. But Rogers is bringing it back, modernizing the traditional suit, and giving it a unique flair that men from all walks of life will feel confident while wearing. Daryl says, "The final seal will be opened as I reinvent and make the suit normal once again."
Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, he is a passionate businessman who has found success in many places but has recently shifted his focus to what he has always wanted to do: design clothes. Rogers began sketching in 2008 and founded his signature label in 2014 despite having no fashion training other than modeling. He put himself out there and swiftly began building a name for himself in the fashion world. Daryl Rogers skillfully fabricates high-end fashion for the modern Renaissance man. Paying close attention to small details and incorporating inspirational messages within the labels of each jacket, Daryl Rogers' mission is to transcend style and empower everyday men to give themselves extra attention and make a statement with their fashion on any given day.
